Wow! So I tried the PSTN call facility - works great. Because I don't know if it is to be a paid service I just called my cell to confirm it works - it does. Very nice. Question. Will the PSTN calls be added to an ongoing VSee conf? For instance, if there are three people in a video-conference, can someone PSTN in to a set number and be added to the voice part of the conf? That would be great.

Hi Logjam,
What version are you using? I tried dialing a number and I get a message saying disconnected and it just starts counting up from zero and never connects. Maybe someone at vsee can let me know what the problem is?

VSee 9.0.0.126
I had similar responses to that with earlier versions - this one seems to work. Again, I only called me cell, said, "hello" and hung up; but it works. I don't know who they're using for PSTN termination and I don't want to rack up bills or anything for them - but it is pretty slick.
I asked in this forum before whether it would be part of the paid version and was told they are still testing/thinking about it. So I don't want to abuse it.

Hello,
This is still in beta and we are still working out the bugs. This is going to be a paid feature. Please feel free to use it sparingly for testing purposes. We would love to hear your feedback on bugs you find, or why you love it.
Thank you,
Colleen

Colleen,
Glad to share my view on PSTN termination. Now it is a novelty, it has real utility if someone on a landline or cell could dial into an existing VSee conference and be added into the audio stream.
Each VSee ID would need an in-bound number so if they initiated a VSee conference someone could dial in and participate, at least, in the audio part of the conference.
The questions I have are as follows:
1.) Will this use an independent SIP provider? (I hope)
2.) Will the host of a VSee conference be able to add a PSTN caller who knows the host's E.164 number?
a.) This presumes there is federation between the VSee name service and the SIP account associated to the VSee ID which further suggest the PSTN component will be available only to those VSee users who self-host the name services and ssl-http relay service. - But I'm just guessing.
3.) Is DTMF in- or out-band?
Well, that's enough for now. Eager to hear more about this.
